Our Fridays!

Most of the people that I know love Fridays and spend all week trying to make it to it, which is probably the reason the term 'TGIF' has gotten so popular. Atleast twice a month I make sure to do something special with my son and we have started calling those days "Fun Fridays". Our day together can be something that we do that might only take a few hours or it could take the whole weekend. We sometimes might just stay home and watch a movie or two, or we might go to the show and our favorite movie theatre is the Wonderland theatre in Niles, Michigan (http://wonderlandcinema.mooretheatres.com/). Another of our favorite activities that both my son and I love is going to Chuckee Cheese ( http://www.chuckecheese.com/, though I am not sure which one of us loves it more! I would have to say that our all time favorite past time is watching Spongebob and all of the rest of Nickelodeon's (http://www.nick.com/) cartoons and shows. Whatever the activity that the two of us ends up doing, we make sure to have fun just being together. This Friday, we plan on going to the movies, but I am thinking of surprising my son by taking him to the Pumpkin Patch where he can have a hay ride and go through a field maze. Fun Fridays has become a time that we not only have fun but we build memories and reinforce our mother and son bond, which to me is important. So, once again, I am finding new ways to not only be my son's mother, but also his friend.
